OUR HISTORY

In 1978, Mr. Paul J. Adams III, Principal of Providence St. Mel, was informed by the Arcdiocese of Chicago that his school would be closed. The history of Providence St. Mel as a private, independent school began that day, with Mr. Adams vowing that the school would NOT close.
46 years later we are thriving and growing, and our desire to send our students to the best colleges and universities is still burning strong.

OUR FORMULA

Our rigorous state-of-the-art curriculum emphasizes core foundational subjects such as mathematics, science, English, and social studies at all grade levels, while our Advanced Placement (AP), Dual-Credit, Advanced STEM and honors courses challenge our high school students and provide college-level experiences and readiness. Our elective courses are diverse in the arts, world languages, and technology to broaden our students experiences. Combined with a dedicated, caring faculty with an average tenure of 15 years, and 85% holding advanced degrees, Providence St. Mel offers a true College Preparatory education for all grade levels.

OUR RESULTS
